Impressive IMPREO

During discussions with Holger Holzhäuser, a WERU specialist dealer, back in 2024, Florian Luckner heard about the WERU IMPREO windows. This new triple glazed window system was being designed to combine materials with recycled content and lower carbon glass with excellent energy efficiency, low weight, high durability and noise protection

Incentivising sustainable renovation

Once the decision was made on the windows, the next step was to apply for support from the German government’s energy-efficiency renovation funds. This requires windows to achieve a U-value below 0.7 W/m²K. Holger Holzhäuser calculated performance values and prepared the necessary documentation, which resulted in funding for 20% of the window costs for the renovation project. In addition to the new energy-efficient windows, the renovated house has also been fitted with a new heat pump, solar panels on the roof and improved insulation. This means that it now meets KFW-EE standards for energy efficiency, and provides a healthy and sustainable home for Florian Luckner and his family.

  • The IMPREO window was designed to combine materials with recycled content and lower carbon glass with excellent energy efficiency, low weight, high durability and noise protection.

  • Thanks to their U-value of below 0.7 W/m²K, the windows met the criteria for funding from the German renovation fund.

  • The renovated house meets the German KfW 55 EE standards for energy efficiency.
